{"id":1984,"date":"2021-03-27T05:17:09","date_gmt":"2021-03-27T05:17:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smeloans.com\/?p=1984"},"modified":"2024-02-20T05:20:42","modified_gmt":"2024-02-20T05:20:42","slug":"ardb-seeks-30m-more-for-sme-loans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smeloans.com\/index.php\/2021\/03\/27\/ardb-seeks-30m-more-for-sme-loans\/","title":{"rendered":"ARDB seeks $30M more for SME loans"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Agriculture and Rural Development Bank of Cambodia (ARDB) expects to receive an additional $30 million from the government for special-purpose loans to keep the Kingdom\u2019s smaller businesses afloat amid the ongoing economic duress of Covid-19, according to the state-owned bank\u2019s director-general Kao Thach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thach told The Post on March 22 that ARDB recently submitted a request to the government for the additional funds after the bank earlier this year finished disbursing $50 million that was supplied by state coffers in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He noted that fruit and vegetable growers, livestock farmers and aquaculturists received the bulk of the $50 million and put in steadily-increasing numbers of loan applications to increase their cultivation and expand their businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve asked for an additional $30 million as there is growing demand.
